Marcia joins Adam to discuss her career creating tons of content in two languages, how she stays organized in her daily life and her work, as well as event-driven applications on AWS. Oh, and Marcia once had a Backstreet Boys blog. Had to throw that in here.

About Marcia

Marcia Villalba is a software engineer 👩‍💻 from Uruguay 🇺🇾 living in Helsinki 🇫🇮. She has been working over 15 years in the IT industry, doing all kind of things related to software development. She is part of the 1% of hispanic women in computer science, a minority in the minorities.

Nowadays she works as an AWS Developer Advocate, helping developers bring their ideas to life in the cloud.

Before she worked as a full-stack developer at Rovio and also had her own consultancy company Unicorn.codes 🦄, where she helped companies to migrate to serverless either by providing education or by providing actual hands-on solutions.

Coding and sharing with others are her passions. She loves learning new things and tinkering with different technologies and frameworks.
